This week Charly and I interviewed Georgina Abrahams or “JD”. JD together with a team of other volunteers is the instigator and organiser of “Spiritfest” which is now in its 8th year. It will be happening again from January 7-10, 2010, in a National Park about 1 1/2 hours drive from the centre of Sydney. Each year Spiritfest has a theme and this time the theme is “creativity”.

We believe hat creativity is more important than ever before, nevertheless it has become more neglected and discounted than at any other time in history. Technology is “King” and creativity has been pushed aside and is seen as  a kind of luxury,  something that is just for fun when we have nothing better to do. Yet I believe that creativity is the one thing that leads to new inventions, solutions and shifts in paradigm, no matter which field it is employed in. Creativity is the key to many things if we only let our mind go and daydream for a little while every day.

Listen to our interview to find out lots more about creativity and Spiritfest:

Today Charly and I discussed “Giveaways” on our radio show. Giveaways are events on the internet which you can take part in. Usually giveaways have a theme or a directed at a specific interest group. When somebody decides to organise a giveaway (a mammoth task!) they first of all need contributors or JV partners who are willing to give a product (usually downloadable) or a service free of charge.  Charly and Lenore Miller from Outrageously Healthy have just done that. They have organised the “Outrageous Health Giveaway” for anybody interested in Health and Wellbeing. Check it out here:

http://stretchyourmindandbody.com/blog/mowb

As a “member” you can then visit the giveaway and download as many of the products as you want free of charge in return for giving your name and email address to the person who contributed the gift.

In case you have a gift you want to contribute it may not be too late, talk to Charly and Lenore here:

http://stretchyourmindandbody.com/blog/mowb-jv

Here is the link to the show:

There are really some great gifts in there, have a look and check them out.

Myofascial Release and Massage as a Therapy

Barbara Searles is a talented massage therapist who practices integrative massage – and we were honored to have her as our guest on the Stretch Your Mind and Body Talk Show.  Barbara spoke at length about using massage as therapy instead of remedial work.

Massage is a wonderful tool that anyone can use to maintain their health and wellbeing – and not just use when things go wrong.

Your body is a finely tuned engine, and it is necessary to keep up the maintenance – so it makes sense to receive regular ’services’ – massage is one way of providing that regular service and looking after your body.  Regular doesn’t have to mean weekly, bi-weekly or monthly either…. it can mean 3 or 4 times a year.  The thing is to make the appointments BEFORE you feel you need the therapy. Toddler Taming Entrepreneurs

Today we had an interesting call with Amanda Robins who recently launched Toddler Taming Entrepreneurs. To find out more go to:

Toddler Taming Entrepreneurs

Amanda had her children at a very young age and was determined to stay at home to raise them as well as providing for them and earning an income. She tried many different ways to earn money from home and found out very quickly  that it was not as easy as she thought.

Over the years she found that some systems were outright scams, others did not provide much return for the time and effort she put into them. Amanda is now at a point where she has found a way of working from home that is efficient and flexible enough to still take part in her older children’s activities and look after her toddler.

Her passion is to save other mothers from making all the mistakes she made and teach them how to make the most of their time. Her advice is also to pick a business that helps other people in some way, it gives extra fulfillment and helps to keep you going.

She is an expert at finding the “laziest” way to do all the tasks associated with her business. This was borne out of the necessity to be as efficient as possible with the little time she had.

Be kind to yourself with your “to do” list, don’t put too many things onto it and don’t expect everything to get done. Put the most important jobs on top.

Healing with Paige Haines

Last week Charly and I interviewed Paige Haines, an energy healer who is based in Brisbane, Australia. You can find Paige at http://www.emergehealing.com.au

Paige’s specialty is “Reconnective Healing”. She comes from an engineering background and was struggling with a chronic health issue herself. She couldn’t find any relief for 2 years. Then she came across reconnective healing and it held the answer for her.

Since then she has become a healer herself and her passion is helping people who are on the brink of a breakdown, have chronic fatigue, depression, chronic pain or suffer stress and burnout. During the healing session she works with energy and sometimes information that is relevant for the person having the healing comes through and Paige passes it on to the client if they are willing to hear the information.

That brings us to the question: what is reconnective healing? In simple terms it is energy, light and information that comes through. When Paige is working it is coming through her hands and the sensations vary quite a bit. The person having the healing can experience a variety of things or nothing much at all. The effectiveness of the healing is not dependent on how many sensations or experiences the client has. Some of the most profound healing occurs when the session itself was quite uneventful.

To listen to the full interview, go here:

Paige also has a free report and audio available on her site: http://www.emergehealing.com.au
