Charly and I met through Wonderful Web Women  This is an amazing group of women from all over the world, click the link and check the site out when you have a chance.

We both were quite active in the Forum and then ended up in the same “Mastermind Group” at Wonderful Web Women. From there we started to discuss some ideas and met in person in Sydney on 6.6.2008. We live in different cities, about 3 hours drive from each other.

Charly has lots of experience in the IT industry (over 20 years) and running various businesses. I have been teaching yoga for over 15 years and also have a background in natural therapies. I have been teaching adults in one capacity or another for the past 20 years.

Charly also loves teaching and has a great gift to explain technical matters in a way that makes sense to somebody like me.  She somehow managed to open my eyes to the logical way in which technology works. I learnt that no matter how complex or confusing a problem seems, it can be broken down and analysed and a solution can be found. Step by step. There are no emotions involved! (at least on part of the technology).

My background is in dealing with humans and their problems so I always look for the emotional connection, the hidden, underlying “programming” that makes a person tick (or malfunction). I apporached technology the same way, I always assumed there was something hidden, unfathomable and (as often is the case with humans) illogical. I nearly started to believe  that the computer was deliberately causing havoc, that it was out to “get me”.

Believe me, it is much easier to solve “tech” problems than it is to solve “human” problems.
