I have worked for over 20 years in the IT Industry. For much of my adult life, I worked for private enterprise in demanding roles and for the last 6 years have owned my own businesses. Balancing the demands of work and family life were a challenge to say the least. Over time, as I became more and more exhausted I found I became less and less effective and productive! Of course, I would start stressing about all the work I wasn’t getting done and the silly mistakes I was making. Overall, I became less productive. When this happened, the only remedy I knew was to take time off work and rest as much as the other demands in my life would let me.

This went on for years! Then I met Connie and my life changed. Connie is Yogi – that is, she teaches Yoga. Of course, I had a mental picture of Connie sitting in the middle of her lounge room, legs crossed, chanting “ohm” – and this couldn’t have been further from the truth. Connie is one of the most practical, down to earth people I have met!

From our first interactions, Connie offered practical advise on how I could manage my fatigue and rising stress levels – not in a demanding, overbearing way – she took time to understand if I was ready to hear what she had to say and asked me if I would like the advice first. Using her Yoga training, Connie imparted some very quick and easy things that I could do at any time during the day – and it worked! I found that I could maintain my productivity and effectiveness throughout the day and my level of exhaustion was reduced! Even my family were amazed.

As we got to know each other better, I found that Connie was struggling with the technical side of her business. Connie had started a blog to promote her knowledge and services because everyone told her how easy it was! Connie soon found that it wasn’t quite as easy as she had been led to believe and because her blog didn’t really look the way she wanted it, she hadn’t done much with it.
